The BFC-NC-001 utilizes a capacitance-based sensing principle to detect the presence or absence of liquid at the installed height. When mounted on the exterior wall of a non-metal container (1–5 mm thick), the sensor monitors changes in the dielectric properties at the sensing surface:
Liquid present: The dielectric constant increases, causing the sensor output to switch to LOW.
No liquid: The dielectric constant decreases, and the output remains HIGH.
Because the sensing mechanism operates through the container wall, the device provides a non-invasive, maintenance-free method for level monitoring, ideal for applications where cleanliness, isolation, or ease of installation is critical.
