The BF5-NC-001 is a non-contact capacitive liquid level sensor designed to detect the presence or absence of liquid through the wall of a non-metal container.
Installed on the outside of the container, the sensor detects changes in capacitance caused by the presence of liquid without coming into direct contact with the liquid. Its compact, solid-state design makes it suitable for OEM equipment, plastic tanks, and other space-constrained applications.

A non-contact capacitive liquid level sensor detects liquid without touching it. Unlike traditional float switches, the BF5-NC-001 is mounted externally on the wall of a non-metal container.When liquid reaches the sensing position, the change in dielectric properties causes a change in capacitance. The sensor detects this change and provides a digital output signal.This makes the BF5-NC-001 suitable for point-level liquid detection where direct contact with the liquid or a tank opening is undesirable.
